Position Overview

The Regional Medical Director provides therapy and/or medication management to diagnose and treat patients.

• Deliver clinical services meeting community standards and adhere to medical ethics.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments using the bio-psycho-social model.
• Identify psychiatric conditions per DSM-5.
• Develop treatment plans collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Manage psychopharmacologic treatments.
• Order and evaluate diagnostic tests.
• Coordinate hospitalizations with healthcare professionals.
• Provide psychoeducation to patients and families.
• Work with medical assistants to optimize workflow and patient experience.

Other Duties

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.
• At least five years of mental health experience, including three years in clinical supervision and leadership of clinics or similar organizations.
• Expertise in crisis intervention, working with the mentally ill, and managing acute psychiatric episodes.
• State or national professional registration/certification.
