Job summary

Hawthorne Health, Inc. is seeking a Psychiatrist (MD/DO) to serve as a Principal Investigator in a part-time, 1099 capacity within our growing community-based clinical research network.

The Principal Investigator will lead sponsor-initiated psychiatric clinical trials, including studies focused on anxiety and depression, while working alongside an experienced team of Sub-Investigators, Clinical Research Coordinators, and centralized clinical operations professionals.

Qualifications

• MD/DO in Psychiatry and board certified or board eligible
• Experience leading sponsor-initiated trials as PI/Sub-I
• Strong knowledge of ICH-GCP, FDA regulations, and regulatory requirements
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication in English, both written and verbal
• Ability to manage multiple studies with attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Accurately document findings and contribute to trials, registries, or protocols
• Oversee and manage all aspects of trials at the site, ensuring compliance
• Lead and supervise the clinical research team and delegate duties
• Conduct remote review of patient assessments and eligibility screenings
• Review lab results, ECGs, and diagnostic tests
• Make medical decisions regarding patient care and protocol deviations
• Ensure data collection and documentation are complete and timely
• Communicate with sponsors, CROs, IRBs, and regulatory authorities
• Manage investigational product accountability and storage
• Participate in site initiation, monitoring visits, audits, and inspections
• Maintain ongoing medical education and stay current with developments
