Job summary

Lakeview Center in Pensacola, FL is seeking a licensed psychiatrist to join our behavioral health team. The role focuses on inpatient and outpatient psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and coordination with MSO and hospital privileges.

The physician will participate in MSO meetings, ensure compliance with licensing and accreditation standards, and provide on-call services as needed. Candidates must hold a Florida MD license, be eligible for hospital privileging, and able to

Qualifications

• Must hold a state of Florida MD license.
• Board Certified/eligible as a Psychiatric Practice is preferred.
• Must be eligible for privileging at the appropriate hospitals.
• Must be eligible to participate in State or Federal funded programs as Medicaid.
• Must be able to pass organization screenings including state or federal background screenings.

Responsibilities

• Attend and participate in MSO monthly meetings.
• Comply with licensing, credentialing and privileging requirements.
• Document and report psychiatric services within designated time frames.
• Provide admission evaluations, daily rounds, medication checks and patient condition notes for inpatient hospitalization as applicable.
• Provide outpatient individual and/or group therapy, medication management and psychiatric evaluations.
• Provide emergency psychiatric evaluations.
• Provide inpatient evaluation and follow-up.
• Provide on-call services.
• Provide consultation as needed.

Role Requirements

Essential Duties

• Attend and participate in the monthly MSO meeting.
• Comply with professional licensing, credentialing and privileging requirements.
• Documents and reports psychiatric services and activities within designated time frames.
• Provide admission evaluations, complete daily rounds, check medications, note progress and condition of patients for inpatient hospitalization as applicable.
• Provide outpatient individual and/or group therapy, medication management, and psychiatric evaluations.
• Provide emergency psychiatric evaluations.
• Provide inpatient evaluation and follow-up.
• Provide on-call services.
• Provide consultation, as needed.
• Maintains compliance with guidelines and requirements of LCI, MSO and psychiatric standards, funding and accrediting agencies.
