Job description

Health System is seeking a psychiatrist to join a hospital-owned, outpatient-only psychiatry practice near Durham, NC.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm. Some call involved

Training / Certifications / Experience required:

Board certified by American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology (subspecialty not required, but would welcome Child & Adolescent too)

Practice Description:

Outpatient-only Behavioral Health Practice which includes some visits to patients in adjacent long term care facility and occasional consultations for inpatients. No ER consultations or IP treatments.

New psychiatrist will be joining one double-board-certified psychiatrist (adult/child & adolescent) and 5 licensed clinical social workers already in the practice.

Practice treats ages 4 years – geriatrics.

Mental health services include: individual therapy, group therapy, psychiatric evaluation, psychiatric medication management to adults and children/adolescents, psychiatric evaluation, follow up and therapy is provided to select patients at adjacent LTC facility.

Other Details:

Must attend Medical Staff Meetings / meets every other month
Serves on or leads Hospital Committees as needed
Participates in practice staff meetings
