An innovative clinic is seeking a board-certified psychiatrist to join their outpatient team. This role emphasizes thoughtful, relational psychiatry in a supportive environment, free from the pressures of call and hospital work. You'll engage in meaningful psychiatric evaluations and medication management while collaborating with a dedicated interdisciplinary team. This clinic prioritizes quality care and professional autonomy, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to a legacy-driven mental health practice. If you are passionate about creating sustainable mental health solutions, this role could be your ideal fit.
Description
Why This Role?
In a field increasingly defined by burnout, bureaucracy, and high-acuity churn, this is a rare opportunity to practice thoughtful psychiatry in a clinic-based, interdisciplinary setting. No call. No ER coverage. No hospital rounding. Just stable, relational outpatient work alongside some of Minnesota’s most skilled clinicians.
This is psychiatry practiced at a human pace—with professional respect, diagnostic rigor, and room to think. You’ll be part of a selective team building something better, not just bigger.
About Lorenz Clinic
Lorenz Clinic is psychologist-led and clinician-owned—an independent system designed to put clinical judgment back in the hands of providers. We're not backed by private equity. We're backed by clinicians like you.
About the Position
We are hiring a board-certified or board-eligible psychiatrist to join our outpatient team. This is a clinic-based role—not residential, hospital, or telehealth-only. Your work will focus on:

You don’t need to abandon your medical training to practice psychiatry with depth. You just need a system that honors how integrative, reflective psychiatry actually works. At Lorenz, you’ll find:
We believe psychiatry is a healing art as much as a medical science—and that the best work happens in systems that respect both. If that resonates with you, you may have just found your professional home.
