Job summary

Korzen Health in Birmingham, Alabama is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist to join our growing behavioral health team. You will provide high-quality psychiatric care across inpatient, PHP, IOP, and consultation settings.

The role offers collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, supervision of mid-level providers, teaching of residents and medical students, and a strong focus on work-life balance within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry (ABPN).
• Active Alabama medical license or eligibility for licensure.
• Experience supervising mid-level providers preferred.
• Experience across inpatient and outpatient behavioral health settings is a plus.
• Strong clinical and leadership skills; interest in teaching and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide psychiatric care across inpatient, PHP, IOP, and consultative settings.
• Manage psychotropic medications and monitor treatment progress.
• Collaborate with and supervise advanced practice providers.
• Participate in teaching and supervision of residents and medical students.
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation.
• Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes.

This role includes a combination of inpatient, Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), and consultative psychiatric services. The position also offers the opportunity to supervise advanced practice providers and participate in teaching and mentoring within a Graduate Medical Education (GME) program.
