Position Details

DR or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner - Part Time

Outpatient SUD Center - IOP/OP Co-Occurring
Part-time, Contract, Per diem

Job Summary

The Psychiatric APN will provide psychiatric services to clients in our IOP/OP substance use programs. Responsibilities include assessment and diagnosis, medication monitoring and reviews, writing prescriptions, and MAT waiver to manage and prescribe Suboxone.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical interviews to gather information from clients and their families to develop treatment plans.
• Complete psychiatric assessments and written evaluations.
• Handle substance medication such as Suboxone, with proper certification.
• Obtain health histories, perform or request diagnostic tests, interpret results, and develop treatment plans.
• Monitor medications.
• Provide limited on-call coverage.
• Educate outpatient and residential clients and their families.
• Maintain documentation in compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with medical and nursing staff to ensure quality care.
• Follow best practices, industry standards, and legal requirements including HIPAA and 42 CFR.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Develop relationships with managed care companies, government agencies, and funding sources.
