Job summary

MindCare Solutions is seeking a full-time Psychiatrist to work on-site in Indiana County, PA. The role involves comprehensive assessments, medication management, psychotherapy, and coordinated care with a multidisciplinary team.

Relocation assistance is available. Schedule is 40 hours weekly, with compensation up to $185 per hour depending on experience and contract type.

Qualifications

• Board Certification or Eligibility in Psychiatry (within 1 year of residency completion).
• Valid and unrestricted DEA license in PA.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments to diagnose mental health disorders.
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications ensuring treatment plans are effective and adjusted as needed.
• Create individualized treatment plans including medication management and psychotherapy.
• Chart audits, peer review, meetings, provider management, etc.
• Maintain up-to-date medical records per facility policies, state regulations, and standards of care.
• Ensure confidentiality of patients; audit files to confirm complete documentation of services.
• Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, nurses and staff for integrated care.
• Provide immediate psychiatric care in crisis situations and prevent incidents through proactive management.
• Comply with applicable regulations, laws, rules, procedures, policies and contracts.

Location: Indiana County, PA

Responsibilities

• The psychiatrist will conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments to diagnose mental health disorders.
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications ensuring that treatment plans are effective and adjusted as needed.
• The psychiatrist will create individualized treatment plans that include medication management, psychotherapy, and other interventions.
• Chart audits, peer review, meetings, provider management, etc.
• The psychiatrist will maintain up to date medical records, ensuring compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and standards of care.
• Maintain and monitor confidentiality of patients and their files; audit files to determine that all services provided are documented; review status of patients to verify that all treatment and therapeutic programs are completed.
• The psychiatrist will work closely with psychologists, social workers, nurses, and staff to provide integrated and coordinated care.
• Provide immediate psychiatric care in crisis situations, such as suicide attempts or acute psychiatric episodes, and work to prevent incidents through proactive mental health management.
• Endeavor to comply with the requirements of applicable regulations, laws, rules, procedures, policies, standards and/or contract.
