Job summary

MindCare Solutions is seeking a Part-time on-site Psychiatrist to join our team in Indiana County, PA. The role focuses on comprehensive psychiatric assessments, medication management, and integrated care with a multidisciplinary team in a hospital-like behavioral health setting.

This position offers competitive compensation up to $185 per hour on a 1099 basis, with responsibilities spanning crisis care, chart audits, and adherence to state regulations to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Eligible (within 1 year of residency completion) in Psychiatry.
• Valid and unrestricted DEA in PA.

Responsibilities

• The psychiatrist will conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments to diagnose mental health disorders.
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications ensuring that treatment plans are effective and adjusted as needed.
• The psychiatrist will create individualized treatment plans that include medication management, psychotherapy, and other interventions.
• Chart audits, peer review, meetings, provider management, etc.
• The psychiatrist will maintain up to date medical records, ensuring compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and standards of care.
• Maintain and monitor confidentiality of patients and their files; audit files to determine that all services provided are documented; review status of patients to verify that all treatment and therapeutic programs are completed.
• The psychiatrist will work closely with psychologists, social workers, nurses, and staff to provide integrated and coordinated care.
• Provide immediate psychiatric care in crisis situations, such as suicide attempts or acute psychiatric episodes, and work to prevent incidents through proactive mental health management
• Endeavor to comply with the requirements of applicable regulations, laws, rules, procedures, policies, standards and/or contract.
