Psychiatrist - Muskegon, MI - Residency Candidates Accepted!

Job Description:

  1. Provide comprehensive psychiatric care for adult inpatients in a dedicated behavioral health unit.
  2. Perform initial psychiatric evaluations, diagnose mental health conditions, and manage treatment plans.
  3. Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications in coordination with the care team.
  4. Collaborate daily with a fully staffed, multidisciplinary team including APPs, RNs, social workers, case managers, and other specialists.
  5. Participate in daily clinical rounds and contribute to patient-centered care discussions.
  6. Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record system.
  7. Work a consistent Monday-Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility based on provider needs.
  8. Share in weekend call coverage on a rotating 1:4 schedule.

Qualifications:

  1. Board Eligible (to become Board Certified within 2 years of eligibility) - REQUIRED
  2. Valid MI license - REQUIRED at time of employment
  3. DEA registration - REQUIRED
  4. BLS Certification and recertification - REQUIRED
