Central City Health, Inc. seeks a psychiatrist to join the outpatient team. You will assess, diagnose, and treat a spectrum of mental health conditions in adults, prescribing medications as appropriate and coordinating with the care team.

Qualifikationen

• BLS and ACLS certification required.

• Provide care to adults 18+, medical evaluations, and follow-up.
• Prescribe medications with formulary limitations.
• Coordinate with behavioral health and specialty providers.
• Competence with electronic health record systems.
• Participate in team huddles and case conferences.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and treatments.
• Maintain licensure and complete CME.
• Engage in community health outreach as needed.

The Psychiatrist is a key member of the clinical team responsible for delivering high-quality, comprehensive psychiatric care in an outpatient setting. The Psychiatrist will assess, diagnose, treat, and manage a range of acute, episodic, and chronic mental health conditions, including prescribing and managing medications as clinically appropriate. The Psychiatrist works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary care team to support integrated, patient-centered care and provides services consistent with the physician's training, clinical privileges, scope of practice, and applicable State of Michigan requirements.

Education/Experience

• Must possess a valid Michigan licensure as a Medical Doctor.
• Must meet all Continuing Education requirements.
• Prior experience working in a community mental health is preferred.
• Must be able to work cooperatively with staff in the delivery of service to patients.
• BLS and ACLS is required.
• Experience in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Must maintain confidentiality relating to treatment in accordance with HIPAA.
• Knowledge of PCMH.
• Provide direct, patient-centered care to adult patients aged 18 and older.
• Perform comprehensive and problem-focused medical evaluations.
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of chronic and acute medical conditions.
• Provide preventive care and health screenings.
• Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests.
• Prescribe medications appropriately, with formulary and limitations.
• Collaborate with behavioral health, care coordination, and specialty providers.
• Ability to utilize the electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team huddles, peer reviews and case conferences.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions and treatment options.
• Maintain active licensure and complete required continuing medical education.
• Participate in community health outreach and events, as needed.
