Qualifikationen

• Active, unrestricted medical license in the state applied to, or willingness to obtain.
• Board-certified in psychiatry (MD/DO) or board-eligible within 5 years of residency/fellowship completion.
• Possess and maintain a valid DEA number and licenses to prescribe medications.
• Strong understanding of psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, medication management, and therapeutic techniques.
• Knowledge of evidence-based interventions in psychiatric treatment.

Aufgaben

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients in the outpatient setting.
• Provide medication management and therapy to a diverse patient population.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
• Stay current with advancements in psychiatric treatment and research methodologies.
• Make referrals for psychotherapy when indicated and collaborate with other mental health professionals involved in the patient’s care.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal/ethical standards.
• Advocate for clients' needs and rights, including access to psychiatric services and medications.
• Other duties as assigned.
