Job summary

New Horizons Behavioral Health in Georgia seeks a physician to prescribe, direct, administer and monitor psychotherapeutic treatments or medications for adults (and possibly children). You will develop treatment plans, coordinate with PCPs, and document patient records.

Qualifications

• MD/DO in psychiatry with Georgia license and DEA registration.
• Completion of an approved psychiatric residency and board eligibility/certification.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Prescribe, direct, administer, and monitor psychotherapeutic treatments or medications for adults (and possibly children).
• Develop treatment plans based on patient needs and disorders; maintain patient records and documentation.
• Coordinate with PCPs and other healthcare providers; provide crisis intervention when needed.
• Supervise physician extenders and psychiatry residents as part of a comprehensive treatment team.
