Overview

The Attending Psychiatrist provides psychiatric evaluations, formulations, and direct clinical care in Emergency and Consult settings. The role involves collaboration with psychiatric social workers, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to assess, manage, and disposition patients with major medical and co-occurring psychiatric problems.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment and treatment of children, adolescents and their families consistent with department policies and procedures.
• Comply with documentation requirements within a timely and efficient manner.
• Support department policies, quality initiatives, and budgetary goals.
• Participate in clinical and administrative meetings related to department operations.
• Provide supervision and teaching for residents, fellows, and medical students.
• Adhere to scheduling and billing practices of the department.
• Support implementation of information systems to enhance clinical care and documentation.
• Participate in quality management initiatives, including patient and family satisfaction and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards and other accreditation requirements.

Salary Range
