Job summary

Mental Health Cooperative seeks a board-eligible or -certified Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist for our Memphis clinic. The role involves evaluating patients in outpatient and telehealth settings, determining pharmacological treatments, and coordinating admissions when needed.

We offer a Monday–Friday schedule (8:00am–4:30pm) with no on-call duties, relocation assistance, and a comprehensive benefits package. Hybrid work structures may be considered to accommodate telehealth.

Qualifications

• Licensed psychiatrist in Tennessee required.
• Board eligibility or certification preferred.
• Experience in child and adolescent psychiatry or related setting is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and diagnose psychiatric conditions in outpatient or telehealth settings.
• Prescribe pharmacological treatments and manage follow-up care.
• Coordinate hospital admissions or respite care as needed.
• Supervise advanced practice clinicians and residents as assigned.
• Collaborate with nurses, care management and other teams to plan treatment.

JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to provide psychiatric services across the agency. You will evaluate and diagnose individuals who are experiencing a psychiatric emergent/urgent or routine condition in an outpatient setting, face-to-face, and/or by telehealth. You will determine pharmacological treatment for patients as well as facilitate admitting patients to the hospital or respite as needed.

Location & Schedule:

We are hiring for our Memphis Clinic location (3430 Summer Ave). This is mostly an on-site role, but hybrid structures will be considered, utilizing telehealth part of the time. The schedule for this position is Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm with no on-call responsibilities. We are offering a competitive compensation package and relocation reimbursement.

Compensation:

Above 300K for a 37.5 hour work week, for the right candidate, in addition to a very generous benefits policy, no state income tax, and below average cost of living.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and diagnose individuals who are experiencing a psychiatric emergent/urgent or routine condition in an outpatient setting, face-to-face and/or by telehealth.
• Pharmacological treatment for patients including prescribing medications using InfoScriber, as well as providing follow-up.
• Facilitate admitting patients to the hospital or respite and consulting with MCRT when needed.
• Supervise Nurse Practitioner and/or residents as assigned.
• Coordinate medical aspects of treatment with Nurse, Care Management Supervisor and Care Managers.
• Participate and provide supervision of multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and provide consultation by phone when needed.
• Maintain active role in treatment team.
• Consult with outside Physicians regarding care managed consumers as necessary and assist with communication to the PCP.

• Board Eligible/Board Certified
• Valid Tennessee Driver’s License
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
• Acceptable Criminal Background Investigation
• Personal Automobile Insurance
