Job summary

Biogensys is hiring a Psychiatrist in Waco, TX to diagnose and treat psychiatric disorders among residents with intellectual disabilities. You will perform assessments, document in our EMR, and work with a multidisciplinary team.

Remote telepsychiatry is possible, with in-person first day required. The ideal candidate holds an unrestricted Texas MD license, is board-certified or eligible in Psychiatry, and has active DEA and NPI credentials.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a medical doctor in Texas (unrestricted).
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry in Texas.
• Current unrestricted DEA registration.
• National Provider Identifier (NPI) present.
• Must complete facility and HHSC required training.
• Proficient with computers/electronic health records.

Job description

We are hiring a Psychiatrist for one of our clients in Waco, TX.

Job Description

The Psychiatrist will be responsible for diagnosing, treating psychiatric disorders, and performing psychiatric assessments, providing timely, and accurate charting of clinical encounters using our electronic medical records of the residents with intellectual disabilities.

• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Must have good communication skills, organizing, and able to present information.
• Justification of medication use.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be licensed (unrestricted) as a medical doctor by the State of Texas and be Board Certified or Board eligible in Psychiatry in the State of Texas.
• Must have current unrestricted registration certificate from the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA).
• Must possess a National Provider Identifier (NPI#).
• Must complete facility and HHSC required training
• Psychiatrist must be proficient in computers/electronic health records.

Work Hours

• Hours will be Monday through Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM

Additional Information

• Services can be provided on-site or remotely (telepsychiatry).
• For remote providers, first day must still be in person.
