The Integrated Care Center Clinic is a federally qualified health center that provides primary care, behavioral health, addiction treatment, psychiatry, dental care, and more. We serve individuals experiencing homelessness, mental illness, substance use, and chronic medical conditions, offering team-based, integrated care. Position Overview

The Psychiatrist primarily provides psychiatric care, medication management, and intervention services. The role includes supervising Advanced Psychiatric Practice Providers, participating in clinical reviews, and supporting the integrated healthcare team. Services may be provided in person or via telehealth, with potential evening and weekend hours.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assess and diagnose mental health disorders using patient data and tests.
  2. Prescribe and manage psychotherapeutic treatments and medications.
  3. Maintain comprehensive patient records.
  4. Design individualized care plans.
  5. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members.
  6. Practice evidence-based care.
  7. Provide telehealth services as needed.
Leadership and Supervision

Provide supervision for Advanced Psychiatric Practice Providers, medical assistants, and potentially fellows, residents, and students. Participate in clinical reviews, performance evaluations, and hiring processes.

Qualifications
  • M.D. or D.O. from an accredited U.S. medical school.
  • Completion of psychiatry internship and residency, with experience managing substance use disorder patients.
  • Board Certification in Psychiatry.
  • Valid California medical license without restrictions.
  • Eligible for CMS Medicaid/Medicare reimbursement.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3-5 years’ experience as a licensed psychiatrist.
  • Management training and experience.
  • Knowledge of payer regulations, California practice guidelines, and legal standards.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
Additional Requirements
  • No active parole or probation, clear OIG database.
  • Background check and live scan clearance.
  • Covid-19 vaccination and booster required; exemptions not accepted.
