Job Description

The Psychiatrist provides psychiatric services, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to a diverse patient population as an independent practitioner. The role includes consultation and support to primary care providers in integrated behavioral health sites. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering high-quality mental health services to underserved, uninsured, and low-income populations, thriving in a fast-paced, team-based environment.

Minimum Requirements

• Ability to travel within San Diego County; active Class C California driver's license, proof of liability insurance, and clean driving record.
• Board Certification in Psychiatry preferred.
• Current CPR (BLS) certification; DEA license.
• Graduate from an accredited medical school; completion of a 3-year residency in General Psychiatry or current third-year resident status.
• Unrestricted California medical license.

Experience and Skills

• One year of psychiatric experience preferred; experience with underserved populations is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills, cultural competence, and ability to work independently and in teams.
• Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.
• Proficient in electronic medical records and clinical assessment skills.

Physical Requirements & Working Environment

Includes occasional lifting, reaching, and driving; minimal exposure to biohazards; office environment.
