Qualifications

• MD from an accredited school
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Residency in Psychiatry
• Active, unrestricted State Medical License
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Psychiatry

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and follow-up care for a diverse rural patient population
• Oversee pharmacological treatments and monitor patient progress for efficacy and safety
• Partner with Primary Care and Behavioral Health specialists for a whole-patient approach
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for acute and chronic mental health conditions
• Serve as a subject matter expert for the behavioral health team and help develop clinical protocols
• Utilize Epic EMR for timely and accurate clinical charting
• Provide consultation within the Level IV Trauma Center for acute patient stabilization
• Participate in community-based initiatives to reduce stigma and improve access to care

Location: La Grande, OR (Rural Eastern Oregon)

Compensation: $350K - $385K+ per year

We are seeking an innovative and energetic Psychiatrist who enjoys professional autonomy and working with a supportive, caring group of healthcare professionals! You’ll join a growing Critical Access Hospital and Level IV Trauma Center in beautiful rural Eastern Oregon. You will play a key role in growing our behavioral health and primary care services.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and follow-up care for a diverse rural patient population
• Oversee pharmacological treatments and monitor patient progress to ensure therapeutic efficacy and safety
• Partner with Primary Care providers and Behavioral Health specialists to provide a "whole-patient" approach to health
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic mental health conditions (e.g., depression, anxiety, PTSD, and substance use disorders)
• Serve as a subject matter expert for the behavioral health team, contributing to workforce training and the development of clinical protocols
• Utilize Epic EMR for timely and accurate clinical charting
• Provide consultation within the Level IV Trauma Center environment when psychiatric expertise is required for acute patient stabilization
• Participate in community-based initiatives to reduce the stigma of mental health and improve access to care in the region

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive total compensation opportunity up to $385k+ comprised of
