Job summary

Management Performance Associates is seeking a Psychiatrist for a permanent, full-time position in La Grande, Oregon. This rural Eastern Oregon setting offers professional autonomy within a supportive team at a Critical Access Hospital and Level IV Trauma Center.

You will evaluate and treat diverse patients, supervise medication management, and work closely with primary care and behavioral health colleagues to deliver comprehensive care. Relocation assistance is provided.

Qualifications

• MD from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Residency in Psychiatry.
• Active, unrestricted State Medical License.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Psychiatry.
• Commitment to high-quality, community-oriented patient care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and follow-up care for a diverse rural patient population.
• Oversee pharmacological treatments and monitor patient progress for efficacy and safety.
• Collaborate with Primary Care and Behavioral Health teams to deliver a whole-patient approach.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for acute and chronic mental health conditions.
• Serve as SME for the behavioral health team and contribute to training and protocols.
• Utilize Epic EMR for timely clinical charting.
• Provide psychiatric consultation in the Level IV Trauma Center when needed.
• Participate in community-based initiatives to improve access to care.

Location: La Grande, OR (Rural Eastern Oregon)

Compensation: $350K - $385K+ per year

We are seeking an innovative and energetic Psychiatrist who enjoys professional autonomy and working with a supportive, caring group of healthcare professionals! You’ll join a growing Critical Access Hospital and Level IV Trauma Center in beautiful rural Eastern Oregon. You will play a key role in growing our behavioral health and primary care services.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and follow-up care for a diverse rural patient population
• Oversee pharmacological treatments and monitor patient progress to ensure therapeutic efficacy and safety
• Partner with Primary Care providers and Behavioral Health specialists to provide a "whole-patient" approach to health
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic mental health conditions (e.g., depression, anxiety, PTSD, and substance use disorders)
• Serve as a subject matter expert for the behavioral health team, contributing to workforce training and the development of clinical protocols
• Utilize Epic EMR for timely and accurate clinical charting
• Provide consultation within the Level IV Trauma Center environment when psychiatric expertise is required for acute patient stabilization
• Participate in community-based initiatives to reduce the stigma of mental health and improve access to care in the region

Qualifications

• Medical Degree (MD) from an accredited school
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Residency in Psychiatry

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Psychiatry

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive total compensation opportunity up to $385k+ comprised of
