JOB DESCRIPTION:
SUMMARY OF POSITION

Provides psychiatric services consistent with established guidelines for best practice interventions with adults, children, or adolescents. Systematically assesses patients' health status, arrives at appropriate diagnoses, and implements care plans for effective clinical outcomes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Clinical Supervisory Responsibilities: Maintains collaborative practice or delegation agreements with Advance Practice Practitioners (Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants).
  • Quality Improvement: Performs comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and provides medication management. Considers a thorough range of treatment/preventive options and recommends age-appropriate, culturally sensitive, realistic, and attainable plans. Participates in treatment team meetings, utilizing advanced knowledge of psychopathology and psychopharmacology. Participates in on-call rotation for emergency service coverage (additional compensation). Supervises collaborative practice agreements. Manages patient care post-treatment initiation, monitors, and adjusts as needed. Communicates effectively with patients and families, providing education and encouraging active participation. Documents patient charts promptly. Performs medical procedures within scope. Delegates care activities appropriately. Maintains skills through continuing education and participates in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Practice Management & Patient Access: Meets productivity standards, collaborates on production goals, fulfills call commitments, supports billing practices, and responds to communications timely. Uses resources effectively for patient care, prescribes ancillary services, utilizes referral networks, and manages chronic conditions.
  • Leadership & Community Engagement: Serves as a resource to colleagues, participates in staff training, attends meetings, and engages in community education to promote Centerstone.
  • Customer & Employee Commitment: Addresses customer needs respectfully, respects confidentiality, values employee differences, communicates openly, and resolves conflicts positively.
  • Compliance & Safety: Completes required training, complies with laws and policies, and contributes to a safe work environment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Effective communication skills across various methods.
  • Proven leadership in a FQHC setting.
  • Ability to complete clinical documentation per policies.
  • Maintains licensure requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school with a three-year residency in Psychiatry.

Experience: 0-3 years preferred.

Licensure & Certification: Unlimited license to practice medicine in Indiana. Board certification preferred; board eligibility required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Standing - 20%
  • Sitting - 80%
  • Occasional tasks: squatting, driving, kneeling, lifting, bending

Time Type: Full time

Pay Range: $212,300.00--$318,400.00
