Position Summary
Brigid Medical, LLC is looking for a part-time, contract-based, 90% or more remote physician to collaborate with a mid-level psychiatric provider.
Brigid Medical, LLC practices a patient-centered, evidence-based medicine approach, with emphasis on overall patient wellness. Please consider joining our team of collaborators to assist mid-level prescribers, providing excellent patient care and outcomes through psychiatric prescription management.
Responsibilities for Collaborating Physician
· Compliance with state and federal rules and regulations
· Acts as medical support for Brigid Medical, LLC strategic decisions
· Review and signature of first one-hundred (100) charts of the Physician Assistant, once assigned.
· Review and signature of charts of the Physician Assistant as determined by the collaborative agreement.
· Ensure that the activities are technically sound, evidence-based and responsive to the patient population needs
· Assist in the efforts of the utilization review, case management, and pre-certification functions to accomplish objectives within policy and budget
· Assist in the quality management function in the identification and analysis of medical information to develop interventions to improve quality care and outcomes and ensure proper provision for participants
· Works to achieve desirable outcomes for customers on service, quality and cost
· Assists in initial determinations, appeals, grievances, peer to peer, pharmacy and other reviews, as assigned
· Assist in on-call coverage as agreed upon by the Collaborating Physician and Practice Owner and/or Medical Director as needed
· Ensure that aspects of the medical practice process are consistent with community standards of care
· Assist in implement action plans designed to achieve and enhance compliance to accreditation standards in accordance with Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) and the Colorado Medical Board (CMB), CMS, Colorado Department of Labor and Education (CDLE) Department of Workman’s Compensation (DWOC), U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)
· Additional responsibilities and tasks required for essential function of Brigid Medical, LLC as identified by the Collaborating Physician or Practice Owner and/or Medical Director on a temporary or regular basis according to the needs of the practice. If I have any questions about job duties not specified on this job description that I am asked to perform, I should discuss them with the Practice Owner of Brigid Medical, LLC.
Qualifications for Collaborating Physician
· A Doctor in Medicine (MD) or D.O
· Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine (including DEA license) in the State of Colorado, or ability to obtain by the time of hire in Psychiatry preferred
· Current Level II Accreditation from CDLE DWOC on the Colorado Workers’ Compensation system (preferred)
· Current Level I Accreditation from CDLE DWOC on the Colorado Workers’ Compensation system, or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire
· 3-5 years’ experience in practice and health care industry
· Experience of occupational medicine care desired but not essential
· Ability to be a hands on, adaptable, focused, flexible, data driven, and results-oriented high performer
· Work with existing or potential vendors
· Strong leadership, communication, written and negotiation skills required
