Job description

BASIC FUNCTION:

Under direction, provides psychiatric diagnostic and therapeutic services. Advises on prevention, research, and medical aspects of mental health programs. Performs other related duties as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Possesses sufficient education and experience to become licensed as a practicing psychiatrist in California.

LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Holds a valid California physician and surgeon license, with completion of an approved psychiatry residency program. Possesses a valid DEA registration certificate.

Valid California Driver’s License; may be required at the time of appointment. Employees may need to drive their own vehicle and provide proof of insurance as per Vehicle Code VC § 160020. Accommodations for disabilities will be reviewed case-by-case.
