Position Details

The Psychiatric Technician II ensures the safety and well-being of residents in the Residential Program, with a focus on therapy and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead psycho-educational groups to foster peer interaction, problem-solving, and treatment goal achievement.
  • Assist residents in building life skills for independent living.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow all reporting requirements.
  • Support residents with household tasks and teach essential daily living skills (e.g., hygiene, time management).
  • Provide crisis intervention when necessary.Contribute to a therapeutic environment that encourages personal growth, with opportunities for advancement within the program.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology or related human service field required,
  • Minimum one year experience in a related field, knowledge and understanding of severe mental illness, recovery principles and recovery driven service system required.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • All Clearances required by OMHSAS.
