Location: Atascadero, CA 93423. Position Type: Full‑Time. Education Level: Associate's Degree. Travel Percentage: None. Shift: Night (Wednesday‑Sunday PM shift 2:45pm – 11:15pm or Night shift 11:00pm – 7:00am). Pay: $40.00 per hour plus shift differentials and medical, dental and vision benefits.

Overview

Licensed Psychiatric Technician to join Atascadero State Hospital.

Responsibilities

The Licensed Psychiatric Technician works under general supervision to provide a basic level of behavioral and psychiatric nursing care and facilitate the rehabilitation of forensic clients, patients, or inmates. Duties include observing and intervening on behaviors that may injure people, damage property, or signal impending escape attempts. The professional escorts individuals into the facility, performs searches, inspects mail for contraband, and inspects the facilities for potential safety breaches.

Qualifications
