Job summary

Novant Health's Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC seeks a Psychiatric Tech to assist in caring for psychiatric patients across ages, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Shifts are 12 hours, full-time or part-time, day or night, in the Adult Behavioral Health unit.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED (preferred: 4-year degree), 1 year experience preferred, NC licensure curricula for restrictive interventions within 3 months, CNAI preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 4 year/bachelors preferred.
• 1 year experience preferred.
• NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions within 3 months of hire; CNAI in NC preferred.

What We're Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
• Experience: 1 year, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required. CNAI in NC, preferred.
• Additional Skills (preferred): Ability to perform all MOAB physical holds. Ability to care for Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse age specific patients within facility.
