Qualifications

• Master's Degree from an accredited school of Social Work with field placement in a psychiatric setting.
• Minimum experience: 1 year as Psychiatric Social Worker I or 2 years post-master's in an outpatient/clinical setting.
• Registered or licensed as ASW/LCSW per California requirements.
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training required for some positions.

Responsibilities

• Attend daily rounds and report to multi-disciplinary team.
• Manage caseload of eleven to twelve patients with progress notes.
• Interview patients and relatives to gather social and psychiatric data; assist in treatment planning.
• Conduct regular therapeutic interviews and guide patients on illness, personal, and social factors.
• Prepare reports, case summaries, and maintain case histories and statistics.
• Coordinate with relatives and community agencies for treatment and discharge planning.
