Job summary

Oceans Behavioral Hospital of Tupelo is seeking a Registered Nurse to lead milieu management and direct nursing staff in a psychiatric setting. The RN will provide safe medication administration and develop individualized care plans.

You will document patient responses, participate in performance improvement standards, and ensure care aligns with Joint Commission, federal and state requirements. Sponsorships are available for registered nurses.

Qualifications

• Nurse must utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Administer medications safely and provide education on prescriptions.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records per policy.
• Demonstrate professionalism and accountability in psychiatric nursing care.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to develop an individualized plan of care.
• Identify risk levels and implement interventions to stabilize patients.
• Deliver psychiatric nursing interventions aligned with the plan of care.
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records.
• Coordinate staff assignments and ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain compliance with Joint Commission and state regulations.
• Float across clinical services as needed.
