Job summary

Central Florida Behavioral Hospital in Orlando, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide psychiatric nursing care across child, adolescent, and adult patients. You will assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate care with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring safety and milieu management.

The role requires Florida RN licensure, at least 1 year of related experience, and current Handle with Care, verbal de-escalation, and CPR certification (may be obtained on hire).

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing (Associate's Degree) required.
• Florida RN license required.
• Minimum of one year related experience.
• Psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
• Handle with Care, Verbal De-escalation and CPR Certification required (can be obtained upon hire).

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to licensed vocational nurses, psychiatric technicians, and counselors.
• Direct milieu management.
• Provide assessment of patients’ psychiatric and medical status.
• Contribute to treatment plan as a member of interdisciplinary team.
• Document nursing care, treatment, and patient’s response to treatment.
• Recognize signs and symptoms of mental health disorders and apply appropriate treatment interventions.
