Job summary

Luminis Health in Annapolis, MD is seeking a Psychiatric Registered Nurse to provide intake, assessment and crisis intervention for inpatients and the mental health emergency department. You will collaborate with the ED and Mental Health teams, administer medications and help develop and implement care plans.

The role supports discharge planning, patient education and ongoing evaluation of care plans, with emphasis on safety and professional communication.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of psychiatric nursing experience.
• Successful completion of an approved nursing program; BSN preferred or actively pursued.

Responsibilities

• Perform intake, assessment and crisis interventions for psychiatric patients.
• Administer medications and manage medication plans as needed.
• Collaborate with ED, MH team and physicians on disposition.
• Assist with discharge planning and patient education.
• Document care and participate in care planning under supervision.
