Job summary

Longleaf Hospital is seeking passionate Registered Nurses for full-time Day and Night shifts in behavioral health. You will provide and coordinate care, develop nursing care plans, educate families, and document in medical records while adhering to state regulations and facility policies.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, an active RN license, and CPR/ de-escalation training.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• Must possess a current RN license as required by state of employment.
• One year of nursing experience; psychiatric/behavioral health experience a plus.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients' physical and behavioral health needs.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records and educate patients/families about conditions.
• Ensure adherence to Nurse Practice Act and facility policies.
• Give medications as ordered and document controlled substances.
• Complete admission and discharge processing accurately.
• Maintain therapeutic rapport with patients and professional boundaries.
