Job summary

The Ridge Behavioral Health System in Lexington, KY is seeking a Psych Registered Nurse (FT) for 7a-7p and 7p-7a with limited day shift availability. This 110-bed hospital provides psychiatric and substance use disorder treatment for children, adolescents, and adults.

You will perform nursing assessments, administer medications, manage crises, document care, and educate patients while supporting a multidisciplinary team. 36 hours weekly with full benefits and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Licensed RN to practice in Kentucky.
• Current CPR.
• Nursing experience providing direct patient care.
• Preferred: inpatient behavioral health and medical/surgical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment of patients' psychiatric and medical status.
• Administer medication and medical treatment as prescribed by physician.
• Assess, direct and intervene in crisis situations.
• Initiate and document special treatment procedures.
• Provide and direct milieu management.
• Document nursing care, treatment and patient’s response to treatment.
• Provide health education to patients.
