Job summary

Glen Oaks Hospital in Greenville, Texas, seeks an RN to coordinate and evaluate patient care in collaboration with a dedicated health team. This psychiatric facility serves adults and seniors in a supportive, homelike setting.

Position hours are 7am–7pm, three days per week with rotating weekends. Applicants must be licensed in Texas, have CPR, and complete Handle with Care and verbal de-escalation training before orientation; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• A minimum of two years experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.
• Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by the Texas State Board of Nursing.
• CPR certification and training in Handle with Care (HWC) and Verbal De-escalation before orientation and prior to assisting in a restraining process.
• Must pass a medication administration exam and complete a basic developmental competency exam.

Responsibilities

• Prescribes, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaboration with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and standards of care.
• Position hours: 7am - 7pm, three days per week, rotating weekends.
