Job summary

Care New England Health System’s Butler Hospital Kent Unit seeks a registered nurse to provide direct patient care on an adult psychiatric inpatient unit. You will participate in treatment and discharge planning, coordinate psychiatric/medical emergencies, and collaborate with the health-care team to ensure safe patient care.

Responsibilities include administering medications, assisting with unit duties, and stepping in as Charge Nurse during shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Current RI nursing license.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care following ANA standards and RI Nurse Practice Act.
• Participate in treatment planning and discharge planning.
• Coordinate emergencies to ensure patient safety and proper care.
• Assist staff and handle additional unit responsibilities as needed.
• Administer medications with knowledge of actions, side effects, and contraindications.
• Serve as Charge Nurse for the shift.
