A leading company in healthcare is seeking a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) Care Manager to oversee mental health and substance abuse treatment services. The role involves crisis intervention, case management, and collaboration with healthcare teams. Candidates must have relevant licensure and experience in behavioral health settings. This role involves monitoring residential level of care services related to mental health and substance abuse treatment to ensure medical necessity and effectiveness. Responsibilities include providing telephone triage, crisis intervention, emergency authorizations, performing concurrent reviews, developing discharge plans, and overseeing their implementation. The Care Manager performs quality clinical reviews, educates members and providers about benefits and resources, interacts with Physician Advisors, participates in quality improvement activities, and works with community agencies. Additionally, the role involves network development, advocacy for patients, managing a caseload, maintaining documentation, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, and participating in case rounds and meetings.
**Other Job Requirements:**
Licensure is required, specifically a current license meeting State, Commonwealth, or customer-specific requirements, such as CEAP, LMSW, LCSW, LSW, LPC, or RN. A minimum of 2 years of post-degree experience in healthcare, behavioral health, psychiatric, or substance abuse settings is required. Strong organizational, communication skills, and knowledge of utilization management procedures, DSM V, and community resources are essential.
