Job summary

Lakeside Behavioral Health System in Memphis, TN seeks a Registered Nurse to provide professional psychiatric nursing care on a designated unit, aligned with ANA standards and the facility's treatment plan. The RN collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care.

The role may require taking on Charge Nurse duties as needed; TN licensure and BSN preferred, with one year of psychiatric experience desired.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program. BSN preferred.
• One-year prior psychiatric experience in mental health nursing preferred.
• Licensure and registration by the Tennessee Board of Nurse Examiners as a registered nurse.
• Knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships and processes, age-specific growth and development, limit setting, crisis and behavior management and CPR training.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care on a designated unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Lakeside Behavioral Health and the ANA Standards of Practice for Psychiatric Mental Health Care.
• The Registered nurse prescribes, coordinates and delegates nursing care utilizing the nursing process that is integrated into the multidisciplinary treatment team plan of care.
• The Registered Nurse may also assume Charge Nurse responsibilities as required.
