Job summary

Lakeside Behavioral Health System seeks a Charge Nurse/Team Leader to supervise nursing care on a designated unit within our 365-bed psychiatric facility in Memphis, TN. You will coordinate and delegate care, promote professional nursing practice on shift, and support staff development while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
• One to three years prior psychiatric experience in mental health nursing preferred.
• Licensure and registration by the Tennessee Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
• Must possess knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships and processes, age specific growth and development, limit setting, crisis and behavior management and CPR training.

Responsibilities

• The Charge Nurse/ Team Leader supervises the delivery of nursing care provided by staff on a designated unit. Care is provided in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Lakeside Behavioral Health System.
• The Charge Nurse/ Team Leader coordinates and delegates care utilizing the nursing process
• The Charge Nurse is responsible for nursing care activities on a shift basis and for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice on the unit.
