Our newly built state of the art acute geriatric 16 bed hospital will bring about a new vision in behavioral health care to the greater St. Louis area. NHC sees itself as a partner with the surrounding community as we provide psychiatric care to geriatric patients who require inpatient hospitalization due to cognitive illnesses as a result of stroke or dementia and other mental health disorders. As an RN you are responsible for providing professional nursing care to person(s) receiving services in a supportive and therapeutic environment within the scope of their professional license. Provide and coordinate care by assessing physical and behavioral health needs of person(s) receiving services, develop and implement nursing care plans, maintain medical records, and educate person(s) receiving services and their families about various physical and behavioral health conditions.

What You Will Need

Education: Associates Degree or equivalent from an accredited school of Nursing.

Training

• Licensed and registered to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state employed.
• Certified in CPR.
• Eligible and acceptable to meet the expectations of the Hospital.
  
  

Preferred Experience: Minimum of one (1) year experience in psychiatric nursing.

• Program Development: The duties of the RN shall be in keeping with accepted standards for the state employed and the rules and regulations of the Hospital.
