Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking an RN (Psych/Substance Abuse) for a 13-week, full-time contract at a crisis unit in Lenoir, NC. Local pay rate is $48–$50 per hour, with a 36-hour workweek on a day shift (7:45am–8:15pm).

Requirements include NC or Compact state RN licensure with BLS, and Psych or Substance Abuse experience. Responsibilities cover nursing assessments, administering medications (injections), vitals, COWS/CIWA, and other duties in a voluntary care setting.

Qualifications

• RN license in NC or a Compact state, BLS certification required.
• Psych/Substance Abuse experience preferred.
• Medication assisted treatment experience with buprenorphine or OUD detox is a plus.
• Nurses perform assessments, administer meds (including injections), monitor vitals, and CIWA/COWS assessments.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Amergis Healthcare is actively looking for a RN (Psych/Substance Abuse) that would be interested in a 13 Week, Full-Time Contract at a Crisis Unit in Lenoir, NC. Additional details of the contract are below:

Position:

Registered Nurse – Psych/Substance Abuse

Pay Rate (Local):

$48 - $50 Per Hour (Based on experience)

Schedule:

• Day Shift, 36 hours per week
• 7:45am – 8:15pm

Duration:

• 13 Weeks (Likely Extension)

Requirements:

• RN in North Carolina or Compact state, BLS
• Psych and/or Substance Abuse Experience required
• Medication assisted treatment and use of buprenorphine or opioid use disorder detox preferred
• Nurses are responsible for completing nursing assessments, administering medications to include injections, taking vitals, COWS/CIWA assessments, and other nursing duties
• All individuals served are voluntary and care for their own personal needs so there is no heavy lifting, no medical or mechanical restraints
