Job summary

Buffalo Psychiatric Center, part of the New York State Office of Mental Health, is seeking Registered Nurses (Psychiatric) to join a multidisciplinary team delivering patient-centered, recovery-focused mental health care to individuals with serious mental illness. Prior psychiatric experience is not required.

You will coordinate and provide nursing care, conduct assessments, prepare and modify care plans, educate patients and families, enforce infection control, and observe and report changes.

Qualifications

• Must have a license and current registration as a registered professional nurse in New York State.
• One year of competitive or 55-b/55-c service eligibility for transfer may apply for internal candidates.
