Job summary

CRi - Community Residences, Inc. is hiring a Psychiatric Registered Nurse for our new Forensic Mental Health program in Loudoun County.

This 30-hour-per-week position provides comprehensive nursing care, ongoing assessment, and coordination with an interdisciplinary team to support individuals with disabilities to live as independently as possible. Responsibilities include administering medications, performing health screenings, documenting care, and promoting a safe, therapeutic environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a Virginia-licensed RN.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Experience in mental health/forensic settings is a plus.

We are excited to announce a new Forensic Mental Health program is opening in our Loudoun County location! This position is scheduled for 30 hours/week and receives full benefits. We are hiring a Psychiatric Registered Nurse for our Mental Health Group Home. The Psychiatric RN will be responsible for assessing and monitoring individual's on-going psychiatric, medical, and social needs. They collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate psychiatric treatment with medical treatment and promote staff development regarding safe medication practice and provides training with a focus on health and wellness.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

• Provides general nursing care services within the legal scope of nursing practice and standards developed by the profession, Nurse Practice Act, and regulatory agencies.
• Uses professional nursing processes, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, while carrying out nursing responsibilities.
• Responds to emergency health care needs of the individuals.
• Performs health screenings of individuals.
• Collects and records data specific to the health status of individuals.
• Promotes and maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for individuals.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Instructs individuals in treatment methods prescribed by physicians.
• Monitors and clinically directs nursing support personnel in the performance delegated nursing activities.
• Provides health care instruction and information to individuals and staff related to the promotion of health and prevention of management of illness, disease, injury, or disability when appropriate.
• Communicate effectively and clearly to all staff.
• Maintains professional conduct and appearance.
• Attends and participates in scheduled team meeting.
• Promotes continuous quality improvement and professional empowerment.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications Required

• Must be a Registered Nurse currently licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPR certified.
