Brightside Health is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) for flexible telehealth. This 1099 contract role offers autonomy to schedule your week and no on-call duties, with nationwide psychiatric collaboration and malpractice insurance coverage.

You will diagnose and treat patients remotely, using AI-assisted tools and a modern EMR to ensure timely care and accurate charting. The position requires PMHNP certification and multi-state licensure, with experience in

Flexible & Remote Telemedicine: Evidence-based approach to psychiatric care via telemedicine, including asynchronous case review, video consultation, and e-prescribing, lowers the barriers to accessing high-quality and affordable care.

Supportive and Collaborative Environment: To ensure the success of our patients and members, we have established dedicated teams for both member and provider support. Additionally, we facilitate collaboration between our providers and clinical leadership through 1:1 consultations, as well as encourage interaction among colleagues through internal communication forums.

Measurement-Based Care: Our technology measures symptoms, adherence, and side effects weekly through the active treatment phase and automatically triggers treatment reviews if patients are not improving. We are redefining the provider-patient relationship, supporting encounter-based care with remote and proactive oversight enabled by technology.

Machine Learning-Powered Clinical Decision Support: Contrary to conventional practice, data can help match patients to medications for better outcomes. Using machine learning and real-time data from patient monitoring, we are building a highly effective clinical decision support tool for prescribing.

Our providers use the latest tools, including a custom-built practice management EMR, and clinical decision support, all truly designed to be easy to use.

Ongoing collaboration and camaraderie with other Brightside providers

State-of-the-art tools and customizable EMR, integrated with artificial intelligence to prompt check-ins, follow-ups, and much more with your patients

Responsibilities:

Maintain all appropriate licensure to prescribe and dispense medications under applicable state and federal laws

Have excellent grammar, attention to detail, and proficient at writing medical information at a patient level

Must be technology savvy and excited about how technology can improve medical care

Be pleasant, responsive, and willing to collaborate with our team

Provide direct patient care via telemedicine (remote); including synchronous video consultations and asynchronous messaging

Consistently responsive to clinical leadership team and highly reliable to our members

Evaluate patient records, make prescribing decisions, and provide medication-related counseling as needed in a timely manner

Successful completion of charting within 48 hours of session

Support a 72-hour messaging response window for patients

Requirements:

Active and clear APRN license

Licensed Nurse Practitioner - Certified in Psychiatric & Mental Health (PMHNP Required)

At least 2 years of autonomous experience practicing as a PMHNP, post‑graduate

Previous experience working in an outpatient setting

Telehealth experience and a high comfort level of working with technology

Must be licensed in 4+ states (the more the merrier)

Multi‑state DEAs is a plus, and at least 1 DEA is strongly preferred

8+ hours of availability per week

Experience working with adolescents is strongly preferred

Opted in to Medicare/Medicaid
