Job summary

Brightside Health is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) for flexible telehealth work. The contract role supports remote care with psychiatrists nationwide, using an AI-assisted EMR and precision treatment approaches.

A multi-state license and 2+ years autonomous PMHNP experience are preferred. The position emphasizes a technology-forward practice management EMR, fast charting, and a patient-centered care model designed to improve access to mental health services.

Qualifications

• TM telehealth experience with high comfort using technology.
• Licensed in 4+ states; multi-state DEAs are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prescribe and dispense medications under state and federal laws.

• Maintain licensure and stay compliant with regulations.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and Brightside leadership.
• Respond timely to leadership and patients; complete charting within 48 hours.

Flexible & Remote Telemedicine: Evidence-based approach to psychiatric care via telemedicine, including asynchronous case review, video consultation, and e-prescribing, lowers the barriers to accessing high-quality and affordable care. Additionally, we facilitate collaboration between our providers and clinical leadership through 1:1 consultations, as well as encourage interaction among colleagues through internal communication forums. Measurement-Based Care: Our technology measures symptoms, adherence, and side effects weekly through the active treatment phase and automatically triggers treatment reviews if patients are not improving. We are redefining the provider-patient relationship, supporting encounter-based care with remote and proactive oversight enabled by technology. Machine Learning-Powered Clinical Decision Support: Contrary to conventional practice, data can help match patients to medications for better outcomes. Using machine learning and real-time data from patient monitoring, we are building a highly effective clinical decision support tool for prescribing.

State-of-the-art tools and customizable EMR, integrated with artificial intelligence to prompt check-ins, follow-ups, and much more with your patients

Responsibilities:

Maintain all appropriate licensure to prescribe and dispense medications under applicable state and federal laws

Have excellent grammar, attention to detail, and proficient at writing medical information at a patient level

Must be technology savvy and excited about how technology can improve medical care

Be pleasant, responsive, and willing to collaborate with our team

Provide direct patient care via telemedicine (remote); including synchronous video consultations and asynchronous messaging

Consistently responsive to clinical leadership team and highly reliable to our members

Evaluate patient records, make prescribing decisions, and provide medication-related counseling as needed in a timely manner

Successful completion of charting within 48 hours of session

Support a 72-hour messaging response window for patients

Requirements:

Active and clear APRN license

Licensed Nurse Practitioner - Certified in Psychiatric & Mental Health (PMHNP Required)

At least 2 years of autonomous experience practicing as a PMHNP, post-graduate

Previous experience working in an outpatient setting

Telehealth experience and a high comfort level of working with technology

Must be licensed in 4+ states (the more the merrier)

Multi-state DEAs is a plus, and at least 1 DEA is strongly preferred

8+ hours of availability per week

Experience working with adolescents is strongly preferred

Opted in to Medicare/Medicaid
