Job summary
Graceworks Lutheran Services in Aurora, Illinois, seeks a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide integrated mental health care under an undercollaborative arrangement with a Mental Health Physician. Qualifications
- IL RN license and APN-prescriber license in IL.
- Psychiatric NP board certification required.
- CPR certification; EPIC EMR experience preferred.
- Current DEA certificate
Responsibilities
- Assess medical and psychosocial histories, perform physical exams, identify problems and formulate a treatment plan with education and referrals.
- Consult with collaborating physician for abnormal conditions or referrals as indicated.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests as part of the evaluation.
- Perform cardiac stress testing and other cardiac/vascular procedures as appropriate.
- Educate patients during exams to help them make informed health decisions.
- Complete client clinical records promptly according to policies.
