Job summary

Helio Health in Syracuse, NY is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join the Intensive Crisis Stabilization Center (ICSC). This urgent-response role covers patients in acute mental health and/or substance use crises and may include evening or overnight shifts.

Salary ranges from $165,000 to $190,000 per year, with a sign-on incentive of up to $8,000. Comprehensive benefits are offered to full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Must be a Nurse Practitioner licensed and registered by NYS Education Department.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in mental health or substance use treatment.
• Prescriptive authority with a valid DEA number.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, psychiatric consultation, and treatment of psychiatric conditions.
• Participate in review and quality assurance committees as assigned.
• Document medical and psychiatric assessments, treatment planning, and reviews.
• Handle additional duties aligned with training and agency requirements.

Overview

Helio Health is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitionerfor ourIntensive Crisis Stabilization Center (ICSC) in Syracuse, NY. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners will provide urgent response and/or treatment services to patients experiencing an acute mental health and/or substance use crisis. The ICSC operates on a 24/7 basis providing opportunities for evening and potentially overnightschedules.

Pay Range: $165,000.00 - $190,000.00

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care of medical examination and monitoring, psychiatric consultation, implementation of medical orders, and treatment of psychiatric conditions.
• Serve on special review and quality assurance committees as assigned.
• Provide and document medical and psychiatric consultation, assessment, examination, treatment planning and review consistent with agency policy and requirements.
• Other related assignments and duties consistent with training and experience.

Qualifications

• Must be a Nurse Practitioner licensed and currently registered by the New York State Education Department.
• At least one year of experience in the treatment of mental health and substance use disorders.
• Have prescriptive authority and DEA number.
