Job summary

Guidance Center Of Lea County in Hobbs, NM, seeks a Prescribing Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide medication management, clinical evaluations, and therapy for adults and youth. The role requires a current NM NP license with psychiatry credentials and will work under Medical Director supervision.

The practitioner will deliver emergency care as needed, maintain detailed records, coordinate with physicians, and ensure timely access to prescribed medications for clients.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing (NP) with Psychiatry.
• Unrestricted NP license to practice in New Mexico (psychiatry).
• 2+ years behavioral health experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide pharmacologic management for adults, and adolescent/child clients.
• Conduct clinical evaluations and psychotherapy as needed.
• Ensure medications are prescribed and managed safely.
• Complete accurate records and required reports for treated clients.
• Coordinate care with community physicians and psychiatrists.
• Deliver emergency treatment during clinic hours when required.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
