Job summary
Sunrise Vista Behavioral Hospital in Ohio seeks a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to deliver high-quality psychiatric and behavioral health care. You will collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, therapists, and other professionals to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with mental health conditions.
The NP will develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, monitor responses, and educate patients and families while maintaining thorough documentation in the EHR and contributing to quality
Qualifications
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing required.
- Current NP license in Ohio with DEA registration.
- BLS certification and strong clinical decision skills.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and physical assessments.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic mental health conditions.
- Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and monitor effectiveness and side effects.
- Order and interpret labs and diagnostic tests as needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for coordinated care.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate EHR documentation and participate in quality improvement.
