Job summary

Oasis Mental Health Centers Medical LLC is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our Chicagoland clinics full time. You will conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and manage Spravato and TMS treatments as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate has a PMHNP-BC, IL license, and at least 3 years of psychiatric care experience; REMS certification is required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a Psychiatry focus.
• Active IL PMHNP license.
• Board Certification as PMHNP-BC.
• Minimum 3 years in psychiatric care; REMS certification preferred.
• Experience with esketamine/ketamine is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and determine suitability for Spravato and/or TMS.
• Treatment Planning: Develop individualized care plans with the treatment team and monitor progress.
• Administration of Spravato: Oversee and administer esketamine treatments per REMS guidelines.
• Monitoring and Follow-Up: Monitor patients for adverse reactions and provide follow-up care.
• Patient Education: Inform patients and families on risks, benefits, and expectations of Spravato therapy and other options.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate medical records per clinic protocols and regulations.
• Collaboration: Work with psychiatrists, therapists, and healthcare providers for coordinated care.
• Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate response for psychiatric emergencies.
• Patient Advocacy: Ensure respectful, compassionate, and confidential care.

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners to join our Oasis team in clinics throughout Chicagoland full time. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide advanced psychiatric care, including the administration and management of Spravato (esketamine) and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) treatments for individuals suffering from treatment-resistant depression and other mood disorders.

The ideal candidate is well-versed in psychiatric care, and may be experienced with ketamine or esketamine treatments, and is passionate about helping patients achieve meaningful improvements in their mental health.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including a review of medical and psychiatric history, to determine the appropriateness of Spravato and/or TMS treatment.
• Treatment Planning: Collaborate with the treatment team to develop individualized care plans, monitor treatment progress, and make adjustments as needed.
• Administration of Spravato: Oversee and administer Spravato (esketamine) treatments, ensuring adherence to REMS (Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy) program guidelines.
• Monitoring and Follow-Up: Closely monitor patients during treatment sessions for adverse reactions or side effects and provide follow-up care as necessary.
• Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on the risks, benefits, and expectations of Spravato therapy, as well as other therapeutic options.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and thorough medical records, ensuring compliance with clinic protocols, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaboration: Work closely with psychiatrists, therapists, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
• Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate interventions in the case of psychiatric emergencies or adverse reactions during treatment sessions.
• Patient Advocacy: Serve as an advocate for patient needs, ensuring respectful, compassionate, and confidential care.

Qualifications:

• Education: Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MSN/DNP) with a specialization in Psychiatry.
• Licensure: Active and unrestricted Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner license in IL.
• Certification: Board Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in psychiatric care. Experience with esketamine, ketamine, or other advanced treatments for depression preferred (but not required).
• REMS Certification: Must be or become REMS certified to administer Spravato treatments.
• Skills: Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, excellent communication abilities, and a compassionate approach to patient care.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with treatment-resistant depression and/or mood disorders.
• Previous experience in a Spravato or TMS clinic.
• Knowledge of current best practices and evidence-based psychiatric treatments.
