• Provide telephonic on-call coverage as required.
• Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation.
• Participate in treatment planning and coordination of care.
• Escalate patients to higher levels of care when indicated.

PMHNP, FNP, or Physician Assistant – Detox & Residential Treatment

Location: Cathedral City, CA

Schedule: Full-Time Preferred | Part-Time Considered

On-Call: Telephonic On-Call Required

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our clinical team at a detoxification and residential substance use treatment program in Cathedral City, California.

This is an excellent opportunity for an advanced practice provider who enjoys working with individuals in recovery and collaborating with a multidisciplinary behavioral health and addiction treatment team. Full-time availability is strongly preferred, although we will consider qualified candidates seeking a part-time schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical and/or psychiatric evaluations for patients admitted to detoxification and residential levels of care
• Conduct initial assessments, histories and physicals, and ongoing patient follow-up
• Evaluate and manage acute and chronic medical and behavioral health conditions within scope of practice
• Support patients throughout the detoxification and stabilization process
• Prescribe and manage medications as clinically appropriate
• Monitor patient response to treatment and make appropriate adjustments to the plan of care
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, therapists, case management, and other members of the treatment team
• Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation
• Participate in treatment planning and coordination of care
• Provide telephonic on-call coverage as required
• Escalate patients to a higher level of medical or psychiatric care when clinically indicated

Qualifications

• Current California licensure as a PMHNP, FNP, or PA
• Current DEA registration and prescribing authority appropriate to the position
• Experience in addiction medicine, substance use disorder treatment, detoxification, residential treatment, behavioral health, or psychiatry strongly preferred
• Comfortable managing patients with co-occurring medical, psychiatric, and substance use conditions
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
• Ability to function effectively within a multidisciplinary treatment environment
• Reliable and responsive when providing telephonic on-call coverage
