Job summary

Community Action Health Center (CAHC) is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to work with our psychiatrist to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with behavioral health needs in Nebraska. You will formulate treatment plans, prescribe medications, order labs, interpret results, educate patients, and maintain accurate medical records in a compliant clinic.

Ideal candidates hold Nebraska PMHNP licensure, a master’s degree in nursing, DEA registration, and BLS certification, with experience in

Qualifications

Licensed to practice as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Nebraska.
Graduation from accredited master's level Nurse Practitioner program.
Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

Provide behavioral health patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plans in accordance with statutes, regulations and protocols regulating the profession.
Obtain medical history.
Complete psychiatric assessments and formulate differential diagnoses based on clinical findings.
Order, conduct, and interpret laboratory and diagnostic procedures with appropriate follow through.
Formulate, document, and implement outcome-based treatment plans.
Prescribe, monitor, and evaluate psychotropic and related medications.
Order and interpret diagnostic studies such as lab work.
Communicate test results and follow-up to client.
Review medication list, screen for interactions, issue medication prescriptions in accordance with treatment guidelines.
